1What the Construction section is for
The Construction section replaces the daily WhatsApp report and the paper registers. The site team enters what happened on site each day; management sees it straight away, from anywhere, with progress measured against the contractor's schedule.
It covers three buildings: A-Wing and B-Wing of the Sale Tower (48 slabs each, including OHT/LMR) and the Rehab Tower (37 slabs). The planned dates come from Mandal Infrastructure's tentative schedule dated 29 August 2026.
The site team records
- A daily progress report (DPR)
- Each slab's stage, start date and cast date
- Steel, RMC and other materials received and used
- Hindrances that hold up work
- Finishing work, floor by floor
The portal works out
- How many days each building is ahead or behind
- Forecast completion dates
- Manpower, quantities and stock on site
- Weekly, monthly and custom reports
- What is due in the next three weeks
2Install the app and sign in

| Cast · 5d late | Cast, but that many days after the planned date. |
| On schedule 12 days behind | On a building card: where the forecast finish stands against the planned finish. |
5The daily routine
This is what the site team does every working day. It takes about 10 minutes.
| When | What | Where |
|---|---|---|
| As it happens | Log each steel, RMC, cement or block delivery with its challan | Overview → Steel / RMC received |
| As it happens | Log anything that stops or slows work | Overview → Log hindrance |
| When a slab changes stage | Update the stage; on the pour day, enter the cast date, RMC and steel | Building card → Update dates & stage |
| End of day, by 7 pm | Submit the DPR | Submit DPR (top right) |
| Once a week | Tick finishing items started or completed on each floor | Floor-wise works |
6Daily progress report (DPR)
The DPR records who worked on site, what was done, the weather, problems, and tomorrow's plan.
How to submit
- Tap Submit DPR at the top right (or Submit today's DPR on the Overview).
- Fill in the sections below, from top to bottom.
- Tap Submit DPR at the bottom. You see "DPR for … saved" and it appears in Daily reports.
What to enter
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Date | Today, filled in for you. Change it only if you are entering a missed day. |
| Contractor | Mandal Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., filled in for you. |
| Weather | Clear, Light rain or Heavy rain — work stopped. Pick heavy rain only if work actually stopped; the reports count these as rain days. |
| Department labour | The number of workers present on site today in each trade. The usual trades are listed: Carpenter, Steel fixer, Helper / labour, Mason, Welder, Excavator operator. Grey numbers are yesterday's figures as a guide; type today's number over them. Use Add trade for others (e.g. Electrician, Plumber). Leave a trade empty if nobody from it came. The total adds itself up. |
| Work done | One line per activity, and for each line choose the building: A-Wing, B-Wing, Rehab Tower, Sale building (A + B) for work across both wings, or Site-wide (e.g. dewatering, labour camp). Use Add work item for more lines. |
| Slab stage reached today | Optional. For each building's current slab, choose the stage it reached today, or Cast on this date if it was poured. This updates the slab without opening it separately. |
| Issues / hindrances | Anything that slowed work today, in plain words. If it cost time, also log it in Hindrances (section 9). |
| Safety | Toolbox talk held, PPE issues, any incident or near miss. Write "Nil" if there was nothing. |
| Plan for tomorrow | The main activities planned for the next day. |
Example: a good DPR
Weather: Clear · Labour: Carpenter 93, Steel fixer 36, Helper / labour 28, Mason 1, Excavator operator 2 = 160
Work done
- Dewatering work — Site-wide
- Ramp de-shuttering, part 1 — A-Wing
- Beam bottom and slab shuttering, part 2 — B-Wing
- Beam and slab steel fixing — Sale building (A + B)
- Tie-rod hole filling — Rehab Tower
Issues: RMC arrived 2 hours late; pour finished at 9 pm. · Safety: Toolbox talk held. Nil incidents. · Tomorrow: Staircase casting, B-Wing.
Editing a DPR
Open Daily reports, tap the day in the date strip (or use Go to date), then tap Edit. Change what is needed and tap Save changes.
7Slab cycle: stages and dates
Each slab moves through six stages. Recording them keeps the "days behind" and forecast dates correct.
| # | Stage | Select it when |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shuttering | Formwork for the slab has started. This is the slab's start date. |
| 2 | Reinforcement | Steel fixing for beams and slab has started. |
| 3 | MEP sleeves & conduits | Electrical conduits, plumbing sleeves and inserts are being placed. |
| 4 | Pre-pour checks | The slab is being checked before the pour (see the checklist below). |
| 5 | Concreting | The pour has started. |
| 6 | Cast | The pour is complete. This is the slab's end (cast) date. |
How to update a slab
- On the Overview, find the building card and tap Update dates & stage. For any other slab, open Slab cycle, choose the building tab and tap the slab's row.
- Start date (actual): the day shuttering began. Entering it moves the slab to Shuttering.
- End date / cast date (actual): the day the pour finished. Entering it marks the slab as Cast.
- Tap the current stage in the list. Date of this stage defaults to today; change it if the stage was reached earlier.
- Holidays in this cycle: working days lost to declared holidays for this slab (the schedule says holidays are added to the cycle). Enter the number of days.
- Site note: a short note, e.g. "Reinforcement 70% done, pour planned Friday".
- Tap Save update.
Pre-pour checklist
From Pre-pour checks onwards, tick each item when it is done. If a slab is marked Cast with items unticked, the app says how many were missed.
- Shuttering, props & levels checked
- Reinforcement checked by structural consultant
- Cover blocks & chairs in place
- MEP sleeves, conduits & inserts in place
- RMC order & pump confirmed
- Cube moulds & slump cone ready
- Pour card signed
On the pour day
When you select Cast, three more boxes appear. Fill them from the RMC dockets and the steel issue register:
- RMC poured (m³): total concrete placed in this slab.
- Concrete grade: e.g. M40.
- Steel used (MT): steel consumed for this slab.
These are added to the Materials register automatically as consumption. Do not enter them again there.
Planned dates (Site Head and Management)
If the contractor issues a revised schedule, open the slab and use Planned dates to change the planned start and end. Leave Move every later slab by the same number of days ticked to shift the rest of the schedule with it, then tap Save planned dates. Site Engineers do not see this box.
8Materials: steel, RMC and others
Record every delivery when it arrives, and material used when it is issued. The portal keeps the running totals and stock.
Log a delivery (receipt)
- Tap Steel / RMC received on the Overview (or Log receipt on Materials).
- Enter the date, pick the material, enter the quantity from the challan.
- Enter the grade / spec (e.g. Fe550D 16 mm, M40, OPC 53), the supplier and the challan / docket number.
- Choose which building it is for, then tap Log receipt.
Log consumption (material used)
- Tap Material used on the Overview (or Log consumption on Materials).
- Enter the date, material, and quantity used or issued.
- Choose the building and, if it was for a particular slab, the slab.
- For steel, enter the Design / BBS qty from the bar bending schedule if you have it; the portal then shows wastage against BBS.
- Tap Log consumption.
Units to use
| Material | Unit | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Reinforcement steel | MT (tonnes) | Use weighbridge or challan weight. 2,500 kg = 2.5 MT. |
| RMC | m³ | From each transit mixer docket. Pours are logged through the slab (section 7). |
| Cement | bags | 50 kg bags. |
| AAC blocks | nos | Number of blocks. |
| Sand, Aggregate | brass | 1 brass = 100 cu ft. |
| Other | as on challan | Type the material name in Grade / spec. |
Reading the Materials tab
- Received to date, Used to date and Balance on site for each material.
- RMC unaccounted: RMC received minus RMC poured. It should stay close to zero; a large figure means dockets or pours are missing.
- % vs BBS: steel used compared with the BBS quantity. A high figure means wastage to investigate.
- The register at the bottom lists every entry; filter by Receipts, Consumption or material.
9Hindrances
A hindrance is anything outside normal work that stops or slows progress. The register supports delay claims under the contractor's schedule conditions, so record them on the day.
How to log
- Tap Log hindrance on the Overview or the Hindrances tab.
- Choose the building and the slab affected.
- Choose the cause: Materials (RMC, steel, dry materials) · GFC drawings / design decisions · Monsoon / weather · Force majeure · Local disturbances / statutory restrictions · Legal stoppage / permissions · Labour shortage · Site logistics / access · MEP or other agency works · Statutory inspections / approvals · Holiday · Other.
- Enter the From date and an estimate of days lost.
- Describe what happened in one or two lines, then tap Log hindrance.
Good examples
- Materials · Rehab Tower · 1st Slab · 1 day lost · "RMC plant breakdown, pour moved from Tue to Wed."
- GFC drawings · A-Wing · 3rd Slab · 2 days · "Revised beam layout awaited from structural consultant."
When the problem is cleared, open Hindrances and tap Mark resolved.
10Floor-wise works
Tracks finishing and services for every floor: Blockwork, Electrical conduits, Plumbing, Internal plaster, Waterproofing, External plaster, Flooring & tiling, Doors & windows, Painting.
- Open Floor-wise works and choose the building.
- Find the floor (top floors are at the top) and the activity column.
- Tap the cell once for On (work started), again for Done (complete on the whole floor), and a third time to clear it.
Changes save by themselves. The bars at the top show how many floors are done for each activity. The Structure column shows the slab status for that floor.
11Reading the Overview
- Top tiles: manpower today (red "No DPR" until the DPR is in), slabs cast out of 133, open hindrances, steel on site, RMC poured.
- Building cards: the tower drawing fills floor by floor as slabs are cast (orange = in progress, red = late). The dashed line marked plan is where the building should be today. The ring shows the percentage cast. The header shows days ahead or behind.
- Completion: the forecast date for the top slab (OHT/LMR), next to the planned date.
- Now on: the current slab, its stage bar, and its start and end dates against plan.
- Work today (from DPR): today's work lines for that building.
- Slabs cast over time: planned (dashed), actual (solid) and forecast (dotted) for each building.
- 3-week look-ahead: slabs in progress or due to start in the next 21 days.
12Reports for management
- Open the Reports tab.
- Choose the period: This week, Last week, This month, Last month, Project to date or Custom (pick the dates).
- Read the summary: DPRs received against days, man-days, slabs cast against planned, steel and RMC, hindrances and rain days.
- Below it: progress by building, manpower by day and trade, quantities, hindrances, and every activity carried out.
- Copy summary gives a short text to paste into an email or message. Download CSV gives a file that opens in Excel.
Suggested routine: every Monday, review Last week; on the 1st of each month, review Last month.
13Correcting mistakes
| Mistake | How to fix it | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Wrong number or text in a DPR | Daily reports → the day → Edit | Site team |
| DPR entered for the wrong date | Delete it, then submit it again for the right date | Site Head, Management |
| Wrong slab stage or date | Open the slab and correct it | Site team |
| Wrong material entry | Materials → register → Remove, then enter it again | Site team |
| Wrong RMC or steel on a pour | Open the slab, correct the pour quantities, save | Site team |
| Hindrance logged by mistake | Hindrances → Delete | Site Head, Management |
Deletions ask for confirmation and cannot be undone.
14Rules for good data
Do
- Submit the DPR every working day, by 7 pm.
- Enter the actual date something happened, not the day you remembered it.
- Count labour from the attendance, not from memory.
- Copy quantities and challan numbers from the documents.
- Tag every work line with the right building.
- Log hindrances on the day they happen.
Don't
- Share your login or use someone else's.
- Leave a slab at "Start not recorded" when work has started.
- Enter pour quantities twice (through the slab and through Materials).
- Change planned dates without a revised contractor schedule.
- Keep a problem only in WhatsApp; if it cost time, it goes in Hindrances.
15Problems and answers
| I forgot my password. | Ask the Admin to reset it from Manage users. You will get a new temporary password. |
| It says "Incorrect username or password". | Check the spelling and that Caps Lock is off. Usernames are lowercase. |
| I can't see a Delete button or the Planned dates box. | Site Engineer logins can't delete or change planned dates. Ask the Site Head. |
| A red bar says I am offline. | Your entries stay in the form. Move to better signal and tap Save or Submit again. |
| "A DPR for this date already exists". | Someone has already submitted today's DPR. Open it from Daily reports and tap Edit to add to it. |
| A building shows many days behind. | Check that the actual start and cast dates are entered for the current and previous slabs. A missing date makes the portal assume the work is late. |
| The app shows old information. | It refreshes every 45 seconds and whenever you come back to it. If in doubt, close the app and open it again. |
| Something else is wrong. | Take a screenshot and send it to the Admin. |
